because, i am.

today in young women's we had a lesson about loving who we are.
probably one of my favorite lessons, ever.
we started out numbering our papers,
sister sparks (our teacher) would ask us questions such as:
"what is your favorite quality about yourself?
what do you wish you could change about yourself?
what is one of your talents?
and.. why does your heavenly father love you?"
we would pass the paper along folding it.
at the end, after each girl read their paper, i immediately felt the spirit.
then she read something out of a book..
that satan has a mirror, like a carnival mirror.
which makes a 5 foot 10 inch women appear as a 2 foot 5 inch disfigured lady.
all satan does is try to put us down, he doesn't want us to be happy.
he wants us to doubt ourselves, and limit our opportunities.
he wants us to think we aren't beautiful, or we aren't good enough.
but, our heavenly father wants us to be happy. he has so much in store for us.
something that really stuck out to me was, that man looks on the outside for beauty,
but god looks on the inside, because he knows our beauties aren't only on the outside,
they are on the inside too. i think what makes someone beautiful is when they honestly could care less if their day was horrible they want someone else to be happy. and to feel the joy they wish they could feel. they are always brightening someone's day. they look out for others. all they think of is service. i think service is one of the keys to true beauty.
yes, everyone is beautiful on the outside. but it's hard to find someone who is not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, too.
i realized today that in order to love others, i must first love myself.
in order to accept others insecurities and their faults, i must first accept mine own.
i love the gospel.
and i know that my heavenly father loves me.
because i am a daughter of god.
i am an amazing young women.
and also because i am a princess..
after all,
this is the princess life.
isn't it?

I enjoyed that lesson also:)
& I also was going to blog about this. It was an amazing lesson, that brought tears to my eyes because I was struggling with that. Don't you just love how all the lessons have to do with what we're struggling with right now? because I know I do. I really love this post. You are an amazing writer. I love you & thank you!:) you're one of my biggest heroes ever.
